Brassica oleracea
Cauliflower has been cultivated in India since last 150 years. It is grown both in hills and plains and the altitude varies from 11°N to 35°N. Important cauliflower-growing states are Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal, Punjab, and Bihar. It is also commonly grown in northern Himalayas and in Nilgiri hills in the South. Cauliflower is harvested from early September to late February and at the North Indian hilly regions and plains from early March to November. Cauliflowers are reckoned for their bright colour, their good texture and their sweet and delicious taste, It contains a good amount of protein and vitamins. Our Cauliflowers are being cultivated completely free from pesticides and other chemicals.
