Baby Corn is the ear of maize plant harvested young, when the silks have either not emerged or just emerged and no fertilization has taken place. In India, Baby corn is grown round the year, cultivated in Meghalaya, Western Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Baby corn is a delicious, decorative and nutritious vegetable without cholesterol. It is a low caloric vegetable and rich in fibre content.
